About DEEcode
From a Dream to DEEcode
Hi everyone, I know it's been a while since I've shared about DEEcode, so I thought, why not today? Let me share what made me realize this needs to be shared with the world.
Hi, I’m Deepti Krishna, founder of DEEcode. It all started in March 2025, right after my board exams, when I began searching for ideas for my career. After a week of research and rethinking, I realized that my American student dream needs to be fulfilled no matter what I have to do.
The Beginning
To be very honest, I was clueless about what to do and what not. The one thing I constantly saw on the internet was how important extracurriculars were. But as a student from a lower middle-class background, having “fancy” extracurriculars was just a dream. Owning a club, starting something… my school wasn’t the place that allowed me to do that.
Then someone told me that colleges don’t look for perfect extracurriculars — they look for resilient people who care about making a change. And I wanted to make a change.
Why I Started DEEcode.
I had no money to start something big, but as someone passionate about storytelling and writing, I wanted to be the medium for under-resourced students who wished to share their voices with the world without paying anything. Honestly, I first started DEEcode just to improve my extracurricular profile. But on 21st June 2025, when I wrote my first post on Blogger, it felt like this was what I had been waiting for all along.
No one was really there to listen to me, but writing that first post made my belief even stronger that I could bring change. On 26th June 2025, I made my second post — this time for those who wanted to be heard. And by God’s grace, here I am writing this post on 3rd October 2025, saying that DEEcode has gained 700+ views in such a short span of time on its own.
Finding My Team
Believe me, I’m someone who is really afraid of being judged. That’s why I never promoted DEEcode on Instagram or anywhere until the last week of August. Not gonna lie, I just made a small post on a Discord server saying: DEEcode needs more ambitious students who want their voices heard without fear of being judged.
Then, on 29th August 2025, I got a text in my DMs from a girl named Daksha. I cannot even explain how happy and emotional I was when I saw her message:
"Hi Deepti... I just finished going through your blog, and it is so cool… I would really love to help!!!"
You might think, why emotional? Because when my board results came out, I was in shock. My result was not something to be proud of, and that’s why I didn’t even tell my parents about DEEcode for almost two weeks. When I finally did, everyone taunted me, saying it was a waste of time. But now, finally, I had someone by my side.
And not forgetting Sai, her friend. These two have been with me since the very beginning — when I wasn’t even sure DEEcode would ever be managed by people around the globe.
Our First Step Online
We made our first Instagram post on 6th September 2025. It was made by me "Someone who didn’t even know the “E” of editing or the “G” of graphics". And I was still so happy about it. But after having Sai and Daksha with me, I wanted a team "A Real DEEcode Team". And guess what? We have it now.
